Card unlocks by arena
You climb 10 arenas by winning trophies on the ladder. Each arena adds new cards to what you can find in boxes and the shop.
Rarities and levels
Cards come in four rarities: common, rare, epic and legendary. Rarer cards are harder to find and start at a higher level when you unlock them: commons at level 1, rares at 3, epics at 6 and legendaries at 9.
Every card levels up to 15. An upgrade costs copies of the card plus gold, and each level adds 10% to its hitpoints and damage. Levels are shared across rarities, so a level-9 legendary is balanced against a level-9 common: rarity changes what a card does, not how strong it is at the same level. The stats on this site are quoted at card level 11.
